Thank You for your prayers

Thank you for all your prayers on Tuesday February 26th. I don't think that without them I would have made it for my daughter's surgery.

The day started out at 6:50 am when I stopped for gas at Sam's Club. After I filled the tank the car wouldn't start! Then I proceeded to call my husband, he couldn't get it started. Then Sam's Club sent up a portable jumper and couldn't get it started. A gentlemen overheard that my daughter was having surgery and offered to jump my car with his monster truck battery. He said "Get going to Gainesville and Don't turn the car off until you get to the hospital. Then you can call Progressive and have it towed to a garage." He was my guardian angel #1.

So finally by 8am I was on the road to Gainesville. I talked to my son-in law and told him I was on my way. Well about 20 miles outside Gainesville, the car clunked and the dashboard went crazy. Every warning light started blinking and then finally it stopped with crazy messages. I continued on the trip and got off of I-75 at Newberry Road. I had to stop at the traffic light and the car died in the middle lane (3 lane street) of Newberry Road. Everything locked up on the car!!! I was trying to call the police on my cell phone when the man behind me got out to see what my problem was with the car. He stated I was in danger. Since everything is power on the car, I couldn't get the window down and had to write him notes on a piece of paper. He called the police for me (since my cell phone couldn't get a tower) and then got the first lane of traffic to stop. He and two other gentleman pushed my car over to the side of the road out of harm's way. He was guardian angel #2. Since my cell phone couldn't get a tower, he lent me his and I called Progressive to come and tow the car. At this point it is 10:30AM so I had to call my son-in-law and share this bit of news. Needless to say by this time I was a basket case and tears are streaming down my face. I told my daughter "I love You" but didn't think I'd get there before she went into pre-op.

The tow truck arrived and then my son-in-law's neighbor Brett calls and asks where the car is being towed so he will pick me up (take all my stuff out of the car) and bring me to the hospital. It is now 11:00am. (Kim's surgery is at noon). He was guardian angel #3. Brett picks me up and I arrived at 11:40 but Kim was already in pre-op. But at least I was there!!!

Now come to find out "the battery exploded" and I was literally running on a prayer.

My daughter's surgery went well. She had over 100 gall stones and the Doctor stated not one more could have fit. She is recuperating beautifully.

I don't think I'll ever forget February 26th.

St Patrick's Day Element Freebie #1

St. Patty's Day Freebie tonight.

Yes these fingers have been working! I really had a blast creating "all of these" because this was one of the first styles that I had worked with after downloading "Quite" a few!! This style has got to be one of the prettiest that I have seen to celebrate the holiday. With a name like "Noreen" you can't get anymore Gaelic than that!! LOL (maybe Shaun has me beat!)

This "Irish celebration kit" is going to be huge. I have hats, word art, frames (too many), borders, mats, leprechauns, pipes, pots of gold, Celtic knots, shamrocks, beer mugs and lots of papers (still not done!) There is whimsy, elegant and traditional elements. I thought that it would be hard to find enough for a kit. Not so! I really had fun with the whimsical elements.

Still haven't finished the paper for the blog header so bear with me on that one. I started on an "Irish lass" and "Irish laddy" from scratch and still have to figure out how to do the laces for her shoes. I may have to go with St. Patty's Day angels.

I also have another responsibility for the next two weeks so I had to complete some of my other freebies that I've been creating. Every day I'm learning more and more how to navigate around PSE. Wait until you see what I have created for the next "Feedblitz Promotion"!!! You had better register (right hand side of blog) since what I'll be giving to registrants

I'll be going to Gainesville on Monday. My daughter needs my help since she will have surgery on Tuesday. I'm bringing my desktop computer since my Son-In-Law has Vista on their's (hate it!). I just have too much in progress for the portable hard drive. I know I'll forget something. While my daughter is resting and the kids are in school I'll try to work on the store.

(He has Broadband! Wahoo!!-I'll plug in the USB hard drive and let her rip!)

Just a Note to say Hi! I'm Rambling...

I needed a break from creating some alphas, so I thought I'd break and say hi! I think that I'll put a new poll up regarding alphabets. Do you like shadows? Do you like Glitter? Do you like Gold? Do you like pastels?

I REALLLY need your feedback! Please just take a moment to complete the poll. Since Easter is so early this year I would rather design what "All of You" would like rather than what "I" prefer.

I think I'll get together a slideshow of alphas and give them away as the next Feedblitz Promotion. What do you think? Maybe one for St. Patrick's, One for Easter, One glittery and One gel or glass. Let me know!!!

Cookies Purple Alpha Freebie

All of you are probably wondering, "what in the world has she been up to?"... Now I tell you I have been all over the internet reading tutorials, downloading info, checking out Photoshop styles, patterns, shapes and actions. I still haven't figured out how to make an action work. But, I will persevere. There is a special way you have to load it in PSE v3.0.

I have been creating, creating and creating! Now here's a twist, now I do the elements first, then go back and do the papers, etc. It appears to be working out. I have enough elements for three St. Pat's kits! LOL

Gift for Guessing the Boo Boo's on the Blog!

I had a wonderful weekend up to my Daughter's in Gainesville. Morgan's birthday "Glam Party" was great! Eleven six year old girls had their hair tinted and glittered, makeup and a manicure. They were given a toule skirt (made by the Grandma's), a tiara and boa. The divas decorated flower cookies, made bracelets and Grandson Jordan delivered Shirley Temple champagne and chocolate covered strawberries. Also available were fruit and cheese skewers and chocolate covered pretzel rods. The divas used the High School Musical wi and performed for everyone. Then there was a picture session along the runway. For the finale a "Glam Girl" ice cream birthday cake. The Grandsma's were up until 2AM busy with food prep and "the Skirts". All in all we had a Blast and took some pretty phenomenal pictures. Six Moms stayed for the event.

Valentine Quick Page Freebie #3

New Blog Header & Valentine Angels

Make sure you stop by to check out my new blog header. As you can see the Grandchildren are a year older in this picture. I extracted the photos from their Christmas Card picture! Just couldn't get it to adjust to a heart shape.

Okay now I need all of your feedback! Do you like the little angels in the blogheader??? I will start making them with blonde hair and also include a multi cultural face if anyone is interested. I would like to make Angels for all seasons. This is my very own creation. It took far too long But I had fun creating them. So what do you think?
