Only one more day after today of the "Old Glory" bragbook. Time to move on to something else. Due to the numerous favorable comments, I'll leave the brag book up for a little longer. Please double check and make sure that you have all the pages. Still not quite finished installing software but almost there. I still need to format my email for Outlook before I can start another "Feedblitz Promotion." Be patient it will be worth the wait.

The blog has (even with my computer woes) had more than 8ooo hits in less than a month so things can't be too bad. LOL!

Since I have so many kits on hand, I'll start another download a day this time with a "Hybrid Brag Book." Stay tuned!

Old Glory Brag Book Album - Day 10 Freebie

If you were home during the day today and tried to use blogger and 4shared, it was veryyyyy slow. There are so many Christmas in July downloads and blog trains it reminded me of last December with Christmas Around the World. I finally could get up here to place Day 10 up. Next time I do a "Download a Day" with brag book covers I'll name the file Day1,etc. There seems to be some confusion with the pages and the day downloads. You must read from Day1 with these downloads please. Day 12 of this set is additional solid pages to insert so you can make a flip album. You know the kind that you get in your local store for 6x4 or 4X6 pictures.

Yesterday I had a nice day with my husband and a nice prime rib dinner that I actually didn't have to cook!

Now today was chaotic. My husband went to put a tub of wash in yesterday before we left for the day and electric sparks (arcing) were coming out of the plug! Today was the mission to find the maintenance agreement. After two hours of going through records to find the "dang thing" , my husband found it! Let's just say things were a little testy until it was located.

In the midst of all of this in my infinite wisdom I decide to price Photoshop Elements 6 and look for a rebate. Well, I'll tell you not one of my best decisions with hubby home. So I found it for $39.99 and down loadable. On another website I found an Adobe upgrade rebate for $20 if you owned a former version. If anyone wants a copy of it it is good until October of 2008. You must send it in within 8 weeks of purchase. Just email me and I'll send the pdf file to you. Now I start the download get a half hour into it (115meg) and my ISP decides to whack me. I wasn't real happy about that! Anyhow the website stated if that happened to go download "Flashget" if you get whacked it remembers where the download left off. So off to CNET I go, download and install and try the download again. OMG the file was 452mg. After two and a half hours it did download, extracted and registered. That was my day. Hope you had a good day! LOL...

I'm placing Day 9 up early today since hubby and I will be out and about today.

Now in the midst of my computer conversion, I've decided to have a garage sale! A good time to unload my "old" computer equipment, software,etc. I have stuff since 1992. I can see this will be challenging But well worth the effort since we plan on moving in the next two years.

Old Glory Brag Book Album - Day 8 Freebie

Today I uploaded all the rest of the "Old Glory Brag Book Album." There are a total 0f 12 Days. Sort of like the 12 Days of Christmas! LOL!

Still organizing, sorting and sometimes my old software isn't working properly. Somehow I have antiquated Adobe reader software on my new computer??? Figure that one out. So I will go on the adobe reader quest tomorrow. Today I went to zip some files with Winrar. Guess what need to download that one, too. Just part of a new computer.

During this past week I was listed for an award. I needed to list seven other blogs to nominate. In my mind the easiest way to do this was to go to Digifree and visit the sites I frequent since I lost my favorites in Internet Explorer. Bad move I was tooling around for three hours and didn't accomplish much since most of the blogs had already been nominated for the award. Oh well, I tried. I found four still have three to go find. Maybe I'll finish tomorrow. My husband is off for the next two days so need I say more on "how much I will accomplish in the next two days." LOL!

Old Glory Bragbook Album - Day 7 Freebie

Finally we have Day 7 of the "Old Glory Brag Book Album". I'll have another page for you tomorrow and thereafter. I'm almost there as far as installing my software. I had to install an old version of Microsoft Office but don't like the way it is working with the Vista. So I'll have to look at the Sunday paper with school starting I can probably get an upgrade reasonably.

I'm really enjoying this dual core. I can multitask easily and Photoshop and my DIP don't groan anymore when I try to open both in core. Both of these programs eat memory. Anyhow I'm loving life at the moment with my new toy.

Off to check the Sunday paper ads!

Old Glory Brag Book - Day 5 Freebie

A Little late tonight but I do have a freebie!

I now have high speed on my laptop! Wahoo! I had to install antivirus & all that good stuff.

I did get most of my files off in safe mode But lost a lot of software when she died.

But come to find out I would have had trouble using it with the dual core technology and Vista.

I made a major purchase and had to buy a new system. Now I'm going to have to work with Vista. BooHoo... Another learning curve. Oh well it definitely keeps me on my toes! Tomorrow I'll install the new system. I just hope my DIP will work with the Vista. Say a little prayer for me. I'll take any I can get!

Old Glory Brag Book Album - Day 3 Freebie

I have to make this short and sweet... My desktop computer Saturday night after I listed the freebie and sent my Feedblitz notice, decided to go on a holiday! My husband heard some profanities from my computer room and greeted me with what is wrong? I said "My computer has died!" You see I have had my Sony Vaio for 61/2 years. It has I believe a bad spot on the hard drive and I can only use it in safe mode to move what files I have left to a USB portable drive (now 500gig) that I ran out and bought at Best Buys the minute they opened on Sunday morning. I can't use my high speed Internet. I'm using dial up on my portable to write this! Naturally I don't have the High Speed software on my portable!!! LOL. The problem is I can only move small chunks of data at a time so it is taking me FOREVER but the good news is most of it is there!

Anyhow please bear with me this week. I'll have to decide by Wednesday AM whether to get this fixed or buy a new one. My husband said Sunday that I was moping around like I had lost my best friend! On to the freebie!

Old Glory Brag Book Album - Day 2 Freebie

I hope that all of you are having a fantastic holiday! I spent most of the day looking at stores all over the Internet due to the sales currently available. Did I get some good deals? You betcha!

I think my best deal was obtaining the Tumasoft preset viewer yesterday for $17.76 (normally $50-$60). This program can view,sort & export all photoshop abr, csh and pat presets. I was loosing my mind (not a real challenge-lol) trying to find brush and shape sets. I looked at this about five months ago. Now all I have to do is learn how to use it!

What DVD software do I use? Roxio Easy Media Creator v9-not the easiest but you can add title pages, etc. and music in loops.

Old Glory Bragbook Album - Day 1 Freebie

All of you are probably at the fireworks. I hope that you have enjoyed your holiday. I never made it to my daughter's but that's okay. My husband and I spent time together. He has to work the rest of the weekend so I'll be on the computer. LOL.

I register with three kit clubs which are quarterly and have the ability per the TOU to use the kits for flattened quick pages, mini albums,etc. I downloaded "Old Glory" from Jannidee Wednesday and this kit is the best kit I have seen to celebrate the holiday. Jannidee must have spent hours due to the detail in the stitching. Anyhow, I said I wasn't going to do a 4th of July kit BUT I couldn't help myself I'm making a 4x6 Brag Book Album. Best part ... Another Download a day. The download will be good again for 48 hours except for the first three days which will take us into Monday. I wanted everyone to have the opportunity since those of us that can afford trips may be out of town.
